On Saturday, December 6, Timberview High School Band students auditioned for the Region 5 All-Region Bands.  This region includes surrounding schools from Mansfield, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Midlothian, and Cedar Hill School Districts.  This is a very competitive region with over 1700 students participating; Timberview had 11 students make a region band.  In addition, 8 students; Kaiser Tran, Victoria Vuong, and Jackson McCuin, flute; Ray Quiñones, Bass Clarinet; Francis Kwarteng Jr., Contrabass Clarinet; Chris Vice, Bari Sax; Drake Phillips, Trumpet; and Santos Perez, Tuba; advanced to Area, the final round of the Texas All-State Band auditions!  Also, we are pleased to announce that 9 THS band students also made the MISD All-District Band.  We are very proud of these outstanding young musicians.  Congratulations to the students, their parents, and their teachers for instilling in them the desire to be successful!  Thank you for all your hard work!
