New Safety Protocols at THS

We want to ensure that our students continue receiving a world-class education, no matter what mode of instruction families choose. For those that chose in person, we want to make sure that THS is as safe as possible for anyone who walks through our doors. We know that change is not easy, and we appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we maneuver through these challenging times together.

  • MISD is ordering touchless water bottle refill stations. After the stations have been installed, we encourage students to bring refillable water bottles. If the stations are not installed by September 8, the district will be provide plastic water bottles for each student each day until they are installed.
  • Beginning September 8, every class on campus must have a seating chart for contact tracing purposes.
  • Hand gel sanitizer stands and wall mounts will be installed on campus.
  • We are currently under an order to wear masks in public. Staff, students, and visitors are required to require to comply with the governor's executive order. If/When the order expires, MISD is developing a process for monitoring disease activity levels, creating disease activity level categories, and alerting students, parents, and staff of the disease activity level- including when and where face coverings will be required.
