Back to School - Need to Know

First Day of School

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 14th! We are excited to begin the new school year. Here is some important information that you need to know!

  • School begins at 7:25. Students can begin entering the building at 6:55.
  • Breakfast is served from 6:55 to 7:20 am.
  • Expect heavy traffic on the first day of school. Please plan accordingly by leaving earlier than usual.
  • Morning drop off is at the front entrance only. Students will not be dropped off near the bus drive at the back of the building. The yellow on star on the map indicates the morning entrance.
  • All students will enter the building using the Evolv weapons detection system which will cause delays.
  • Students are dismissed at 2:55 and will exit the closest door to their classroom. Expect heavy traffic and delays at dismissal during the first few days of school. Discuss the pick up location with your student prior to the first day of school.

Student Schedules

Student schedules will be available to view on August 13th. Your student's counselor will send you an email with additional information. If you are concerned with your student's schedule, you can request a schedule change using the link below. Schedule change are not guaranteed.

Student IDs

Students are required to wear a campus issued ID daily! IDs for returning Timberview students have been printed & will be issued the 1st day of school. IDs for new students will be made during the school day next week. Every student's first ID is free; additional IDs must be purchased for $5. Fees for extra IDs will be automatically applied to their Skyward fee accounts.

Cell Phone - Personal Electronics Policy

Students are expected to keep their devices turned off and stored away during the school day. Use of personal electronic communications devices during passing periods and lunchtime are permitted. Students who violate the campus policy will be subject to disciplinary actions. Please familiarize yourself with the MISD cell phone policy. Click here to read the policy.

Meal Purchases

See the information below for lunch (meal purchases)

  • Student breakfast princes are $2.00 or free for free and reduced lunch.
  • Student lunch prices are $3.75 or $0.40 for reduced lunch.
  • Adult/visitor lunch meal price remains the same at $5.
  • Use the online menu or the Nutrislice phone app to check daily meal options.
  • The Free & Reduced Meals Application are open. Please do not forget to apply if you meet the qualifications. Your student could receive additional benefits if you qualify, such as SAT fee waivers and college application fee waivers. Click here to apply.

Seniors with Late Arrival

Seniors who do not have a 1st or 5th period class have late arrival. For the first (3) days of school our late arrivals seniors will be allowed to enter the building no earlier than 8:45 AM. Students enter through the main entrance.

Seniors with Early Release

Seniors who do not have a 4th period or 8th period class will have an early release. Seniors with an early release are expected to have their own transportation to leave the campus by 1:25. Grace will be given during the first week of school, but any senior who does not have transportation may be given a 4th or 8th period class.
